What a wonderful winter this has turned out to be. Almost a FULL lake for the second year in a row!
We have been seeing a steady rise in the lake instead of crazy all-at-once water like we did last year! As of 2/29/2024 we were at 87% capacity. Our surface elevation was 790.9ft. As I am typing this we actually already gained another foot and a half from last nights rain. More rain coming over the next few days too!
We anticipate that we will have high water levels into April, May and hopefully early June! If you haven’t taken a chance to go see the waterfall at the end of The Narrows, this is your year. Spring time will be perfect for that, and if we keep getting rain, you will get to see water actually falling! Don’t miss out!
February 29th stats:
- Surface Elevation: 790.9ft
- Depth: 175.9ft
- Surface Area: 5286 acres
- Length: 17.8 miles
The lake is looking beautiful and full!! Green grass on all the hills too. It’s coming into the most beautiful time of year. Soon the wildflowers will all be in bloom so we’ll have some more color with the green hills. With a little tease of spring temps last week, my kids actually were swimming last week in the lake. (They couldn’t help it!! Lake kids!)
See you all out on the lake soon!
