Wineries

Villa Creek Cellars

We make wines that embody the character of the varieties and their unique vineyard sites while achieving harmony of aromas, flavors and texture. Grapes are farmed following sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices. The resulting wines show fruit, minerality, earth and soul. Wines are gently nurtured through fermentation and élevage with native yeast, gentle aeration through pump-overs and délestage. Aging is done in a combination of new French oak, custom made concrete tanks and stainless steel. As of November 1st, all visits require an appointment. Same day appointments will be considered but we appreciate ample notice. We are open seven days. Appointments times start at 11 am. The last appointment is at 4 pm.

Tablas Creek

Tablas Creek’s wine production is centered around our limestone-rich 120-acre organic estate vineyard. The warm days and cool nights allow our vines to gracefully ripen the Rhône varietals we grow. Our vineyard practices emphasize dry farming and seek to maximize the expression of our terroir. A selection of Tablas Creek wines are available to taste in our tasting room seven days a week without a reservation. Estate tastings are $10 per person, fee waived with a purchase of a bottle of wine. We farm organically, and received our organic certification in January 2003. More recently, we have converted much of the vineyard to use Biodynamic techniques, including our dedicated herd of sheep, alpacas and donkeys who eat down our winter cover crop, fertilize the vineyard with their manure and mix it into the soil with their hooves.

Kukkula Winery

Rotta

Rotta Winery was one of the first three wineries established in Paso Robles. The original vineyard and winery were started in 1856 by a Frenchman named Adolph Siot, who later sold the successful enterprise to Joe Rotta in 1908. In the 1920s, Rotta then sold it to his brother Clement Rotta, who bonded the winery after Prohibition in the 1930s and forged the label into one best known for its hearty Zinfandels. Today, the Rotta label is being revived by one of their grandsons, Michael Giubbini, who remembers long, happy days of working in the vineyard as a child when he visited his grandparents from his home in Menlo Park. He fell in love with the area, so after graduating from high school, he attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and has been here ever since.

Wild Coyote Estate Winery

Our philosophy is to be a farmer first, and then a winemaker. As my grandfather used to say “if you grow good grapes, you’ll have good wines”. Since the old days of winemaking is long-gone, and most wines are now mass produced with emphasis on taste and price. We decided to trademark ourselves as “full blooded” meaning we do everything on one site and under our control; from growing the grapes, to harvest, processing, winemaking, storage, and selling, all from our tasting room only.

Halter Ranch

Historic Halter Ranch is a vineyard and winery located in the heart of the Paso Robles’ Westside Adelaida District. California’s Central Coast Wine Country has ideal conditions for growing superior wine grapes and producing world-class wines. We craft 100% estate-grown wines, which are sustainably farmed on westside limestone soils. Tradition and innovation mix at Halter Ranch to produce Bordeaux and Rhône wines of the highest quality.

JUSTIN Vineyard and Winery

At JUSTIN®, they combine traditional Old World methods—like hand-harvesting and small-barrel aging in French oak—with New World technology. Once the grapes are harvested, their winemakers-some of the best in the business-gather to sort, select, age, taste, blend and decide what goes into every bottle.

We love to make wine, surrounded by the scent of the fruit and the earth. 21 years have passed since our first harvest. We would like to share our familiy’s passion and art with you.
